What Do We Do With An Idea?

Do ideas grow or are they just there?

The next two weeks will see Room 11 reading this book and learning about our brains. Click on the image below to find out about our new learning and our new shared book.

Wobblebot Challenge

Room 11 have been problem solving up a storm. We were given the challenge of designing a wobblebot to travel the surface of the moon. We were given 3 flat batteries, 3 pager motors, a foam cup and other bits and pieces to create a winning Moonbot. First, we needed to work out how to power our bots, as we didn't actually know what we had been given at first. With a bit of tinkering, banging, sticking and trailing our moonbots were ready to go.

Our Solar System Unit is About to Blast Off!

We are beginning to read The Cow Tripped Over The Moon this week as a fun way to blast off into our solar system unit. Over the next two weeks, we will be building an inquiry around our solar system, inventing wobble bots to travel over the moon's surface and building a solar system of our own. If you have any suggestions or would like to be involved in a part of our learning, leave a comment and we will get back to you.

After reading this great story, we were able to identify the BTBWCB tools that cow used to achieve her goal.
